An artist, SEWIST & teacher
I will never forget the feeling I had the first time I wore something I had sewn myself. A skill that had once seemed impossible was suddenly accessible and I immediately began planning the next project. Learning to sew provides a sense of achievement, creates a more sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle and gives you complete freedom to wear exactly what you want and feel great in it.
My courses and private classes at The Garden Sewing School aim to give individuals of all ages access to the skills and tools they need to begin their own making journey or rediscover a love for creating in a supportive, intimate setting.
I studied Fine Art, Sculpture at Central Saint Martin’s and completed my PGCE in Art & Design at the Institute of Education, UCL. I have over 10 years experience teaching Art & Textiles in secondary schools and leading creative workshops in The British Museum.
