PARENT & BABY SEWING | TUESDAYS (APRIL-MAY 2024)

TIMES: 10.30AM-12.00PM
In these sessions you will have a chance to sew your own beautiful toys, clothes and accessories that your baby will love. These classes are as much about the parent as the baby, and will give you an opportunity to learn or practice a lifelong skill, meet other parents and create a range of handmade objects that you and your baby can use every day.
PLEASE NOTE: For safety reasons we can only accommodate parents with pre-crawling-stage babies.
We want you to feel as relaxed as possible and we understand babies can’t always adhere to a schedule. There is no pressure to arrive on time, finish anything by the end of the class or to stay for the duration.
We have a dedicated separate studio space for nappy changing, private feeds and pram parking.
We have bouncers and seats for your babies to use. Baby wearing with your own sling or carrier also works very well while sewing.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
At The Garden Sewing School we use brand new PFAFF 620 sewing machines.
All equipment, notions, stuffing for toys and muslin for the comforter toy will be available for use
We recommend reusing and recycling old clothes for your baby projects. Anything soft and cotton based with some stretch is perfect for baby clothes and small cuts of woven fabric can be used for soft toys.
